In 2018, the Albariño acquires a new look and a new name by becoming Sillages, from the range “Les Extraordinaires” in IGP Pays d’Oc.
Launched in 2009, this innovative range aims to bring up to date forgotten grape varieties or inexpected aromatic profiles. It enabled the introduction in Languedoc of this grape variety originally from Spain: Foncalieu was the first producer to implant the Albariño in France, which is today among the 58 grape varieties authorized by the Pays d’Oc IGP label.
