NU.VO.TÉ (means novelty) is a pleasing wine, inspired by nature and made from a new variety of French vines, Artaban, fully adapted to our terroir and to climate change.
For the past few years, we have been trialling Artaban, a new variety suited to growing conditions in the Occitania region and offering hallmark typicity. We are thus the first to market a cuvée from this variety.
NU.VO.TÉ is definitely new and innovative, a disruption in French vineyard (viticulture) allowing us to engage with sustainable viticulture in the long term and make a real change, putting the health of current and future generations first.
“The speed of climate change is promoting us to question our techniques and we are convinced that tomorrow’s vineyard management requires change”, explains Gabriel Ruetsch, head agronomist at Vignobles Foncalieu.
Planted in 2016, the vine variety is being converted to organic and produced 2 500 bottles of wine from the 2018 vintage.
Nose revealing aromas of blueberries and currants. A supple and fresh mouth with aromas of small black fruits.
