Via Nostrum, a reflection of the Languedoc
We are pleased to unveil our new Via Nostrum range. Inspired by the history of our vineyards, this range draws its inspiration from the desire to bring together 3 exceptional terroirs linked by a single road, the ancient Roman road Via Dominitia.
Thus was born Via Nostrum Minervois, Saint-Chinian and Corbières. A range of Grenache and Syrah blends combining balance and character with a profile of black fruits and spices. These terroirs are characterized by clay-limestone soils and a dry and warm climate. A true ode to the dna of Languedoc wines.
The History of the Via Domitia
The Domitian Way (Via Domitia) is a Roman road built from 118 B.C. to connect Italy to the Iberian Peninsula through Nabonese Gaul. This road was to ensure communications with Rome and to allow the installation and circulation of garrisons protecting cities that had become Roman. Then, it was quickly used by the merchants. Later, it is the officials of the Republic then of the Empire who used it. The construction of this way was beneficial to the local economy thanks to the exchanges which it facilitated between the cities.
Via Nostrum is thus our interpretation of this mythical way which crosses our vineyards and invites you to a journey to the heart of Languedoc. The range is to be found on our online store.
