What is HVE certification?
HVE certification is a label attesting to the low impact of a vineyard on the environment. Level 3 is the highest level of certification and means that the vineyard has a high level of biodiversity and a low use of inputs.
Biodiversity in the vineyard
In this approach, biodiversity around the vineyard plays a major role. Trees, hedges, ponds, streams and low walls provide permanent refuges for fauna and flora.
The hedges provide shelter for bats, which feed on insects that are harmful to the health of the grapes. A real virtuous circle!
