After the cellar of La Redorte last December, the cellar of the Vignerons de Montagnac is joining the union!
Our objective: to strengthen our supplies by bringing together wineries that are similar to us.
A strategic commitment to respect the environment.
Last December, the Cave de la Redorte added its 107 cooperative members and their 730 hectares of vines in production to the 700 winegrowers and 4,000 hectares represented by the Vignobles Foncalieu. With Vignobles Montagnac, 500 winegrowers from 8 communes and cultivating 2,000 hectares of vineyards join forces.
They benefit from a great diversity of soils and climates favourable to the cultivation of Mediterranean grape varieties in recognised appellations such as the AOP Picpoul de Pinet, Languedoc and Grés de Montpellier, as well as the IGP Pays d’Oc and Collines de la Moure.
A leadership representative of the Languedoc wine industry.
” We had economic exchanges with the Montagnac winery based on friendship between people and the quality of the wines, which corresponded to the expectations of our customers. We had made known our strategic desire to welcome wineries that shared our values and our ambition to raise the profile of Languedoc winegrowing.
With their entry into the Union, we are reinforcing our supplies and consolidating our strategy to have a greater and better influence on the upmarket development of Languedoc winegrowing. We now represent 10% of the production of Pays d’Oc PGI wines. ” Jean Marie Cassignol, President of Vignobles Foncalieu.
The Montagnac winery shares our values of cooperation, transparency and the desire for responsible development through the continuation of our CSR approach. The winery is developing the Terra Vitis and HVE labels and we share with it the desire to minimise the environmental footprint of Languedoc winegrowing as much as possible while helping to raise it to the top.
“We have always been significant players and passionate defenders of the Languedoc vineyards. The addition of our new members allows us to be even more so! ”
